WHY LEVEL 10?

Level 10 is a diverse environment where children of many different capabilities can have success. Our training sessions are individualized; however, still performed in group settings similar to organized sports. At Level 10 we teach the fundamentals of movement, which transfer into any sport or activity, in a way that all children will adopt these skills which will last lifetime. Every child can experience success at Level 10!!!

Many educators recognize physical activity for its value as an experiential learning tool that enhances children’s self‐esteem and develops their decision making, leadership, organizational and communicational skills, strength, stamina, and coordination.


 

Mixed Athletics

Volleyball

Many sports share common athletic attributes. Speed is speed, jumping ability is a jumping ability, agility is agility and fitness is fitness regardless of the sport. The techniques used to train these attributes are similar. Mixed Athletics offers general athletic training that transfers to any sport. Each session progresses through speed, agility, strength and power movements, core stability, balance, and energy system development. Sessions are offered to youth in grade 8-12.

Longterm commitment is recommended for reaching desired results but it not needed to attend Mixed Athletics classes. Class runs all year around on drop-in basis.

FUNDAMENTALS

Kids Fitness

Provide your child with the opportunity to run, jump, throw and climb. Building physical literacy is the foundation of an active lifestyle and sport skills. Ages: 5-7

STRONG GIRLS & STRONG BOYS BASKETBALL PROGRAMS

Kids will be taught basic individual basketball skills as well as fundamental movements skills which can be implemented in a variety of other sports, not just in basketball. They will learn while playing inclusive games, doing fun drills and co-operating with others. In one session they will spend 30 minutes on court with basketballs and 30 minutes off court focusing on fundamental movement skills following the LTAD model by Canada Sport for Life.

30 mins on court basketball skills
30 mins off court fundamental movement skills such as rock climbing :)

Girls - Ages 9-12
Boys - Ages 8-11

JUNIOR ATHLETICS

This program will expose children to the basics of training and teach the fun of exercise. Including basic strength training, building an aerobic base, balance, coordination and body awareness. Ages 8-12

School Fitness

PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES

We can come to your school, or bring your school’s physical education class down to our facility in a variety of capacities ‐ you can choose among resistance training, speed/ agility activities, yoga, rock climbing and spinning.

 

• Basics of resistance training

• Speed and agility (foot quickness)

• Basics of a spin class

• Circuit training for time efficiency

• Sport specific training phase

• Rock climbing

• Yoga

• Or choose from a combination of activities

 

FIELD TRIPS

The Rock Climbing Room is a great place for a Party! Each party consists of 2 hours of rock climbing with options to customize your adventure with other activities.

Level 10’s rock climbing room is the perfect choice. You will learn the fundamentals of climbing by taking part in fun interactive games and activities centered around the climbing wall.

Our rock climbing center features:

 

• 5 climbing routes of varying difficulties

• 17 feet tall climbing wall

• Horizontal bouldering wall

• Cliff with monkey bars for an extra challenge

• Automatic belaying system (rope system for safe landing)

Level 10 Fitness is pleased to announce our Children and Youth Activity options for children from grade one to grade twelve. Level 10 offers you children’s activities led by the most qualified instructors. To achieve this high standard, Level 10 has hired instructors who have earned university degree in the fitness and lifestyle area, as well as numerous certifications, and workshops. Many of our activities include introduction to strength training, spin classes, rock climbing and sport team conditioning. Sessions can be held at Level 1o or at your own school gym for your convenience!

 

We believe the first step towards a healthy lifestyle is to help children and youth develop a functional musculoskeletal system. Boys and girls will build strong muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments that enable them to perform physical activities with a high level of success and a low injury rate. Most importantly children will be having fun, while developing lifelong skills and habits that transfer into adulthood.

 

Research has shown that physical activity improves academic performance through:

 

• Improved cognitive function

• Increased self-esteem

• Increased attention span

• Reduced misconduct behaviors at schools

• Increased feeling of school connectedness

Birthday, Wind-Up & Rock Climbing Parties


Our rock climbing room is a great place for a party! Each party consists of 2 hours in our rock climbing room with options to customize your rock climbing adventure with other activities.

 

Your choice of other activities includes, but is not limited to: Lacrosse, Basketball, Soccer, various tag games, obstacle courses and relays etc. Feel free to ask us about activities not listed as we may be able to supply equipment.

 

2 hour booking includes: 

·         A personal trainer to take the children through various activities 

·         90 minutes for activities and games  /  30 minutes for presents and snacks 

 

Children should come dressed in comfortable clothes and bring a pair of running/indoor shoes.  Clients can bring in their own food and drink

Sport Team Group Conditioning


SPORT TEAM GROUP CONDITIONING

Bring down the entire team for strength and conditioning sessions.  Boys and girls need strong muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments that enable them to perform sports at high levels of success and at a low injury rate.  Help improve teams body composition, self-esteem, develop coordination, and speed.
