Steve joined the Level 10 team in the fall of 2007 as a field work student from the University of Regina. While attending the U of R, Steve was a starting linebacker for the U of R Rams football club. During his four seasons with the Rams, Steve was named Can West and CIS All Canadian in 2005, 2006 and 2007, leading the country in tackles in those three seasons respectively. Steve left the Rams as the all time leading tackler and was named team MVP in the 2006 season. Steve also played football for four years with Regina Thunder prior to his years with the Rams, where he was a three time All Canadian and in 2003 was named CJFL Canadian Defensive Player of the Year.
Steve has an enthusiasm for life and a love for fitness that he shares with everyone around him. His ability to take his extensive experience with high level sport performance training and utilize it while training and mentoring young athletes, makes him a very invaluable part of Level 10 team. Steve makes an impression on others with his ability to push his own mind and body while training for many events such as the Crossfit games. Steve is striving to complete his certification in Crossfit to add an edge to his training style.
